The Finale

And just like that, I am headed back to America.

The study abroad experience has been a whirlwind of a few months. On one hand, this quarter has gone by in the blink of an eye. On the other hand, I have seemed to achieve a lifetime of accomplishments within my time abroad. When I left America in March, somebody said to me, “Take a good look at Philadelphia, because it’s going to look much different when you come back.” At the time, I did not know how to take that advice. Three months later, I understand.

The study abroad journey gives you the opportunity to try new things, experience new cultures and much more. Perhaps you will learn a thing or two about yourself, and change the way you see the world. Personally, studying abroad strengthened my ability to have an open-mind, especially in difficult situations. It inspired me to take more action against climate change and saving the environment. I met hundreds of different people, and ironically it made me realize how similar we are all as a human race. People I once thought of as so different living across the world have a lot of similarities as me and you. When I experienced a little bit more of this huge Earth, it made me hungry for more enlightenment.

Studying abroad might not significantly change your life, or the way you view the world. However, it will undoubtedly help you grow.

For all those who have followed me on this journey, I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures! Three months, seven countries and a whole lifetime of memories were gained from my amazing study abroad experience. I will miss you, London!
