So while only four of us took the train to Busan and we met up with another friend there, who is Korean but was raised in Kazakhstan, and she was a great help when we need to figure out how to book tickets a few times. We met up with her on Saturday and we were together the whole day so somehow ended up talking to her grandmother on FaceTime multiple times throughout the day, I don’t even remember what happened but I know at some point we started calling her grandma. Her grandma basically adopted the 4 of us and even gave my friend some money to treat us some bubble tea. Then she proceeded to scold us in Korean for staying in a hotel instead of her house, which was adorable but I don’t her house was big enough for like 7 people. The next morning, we woke up to my friend’s grandma’s invitation for lunch. She wanted to take us out for lunch and our reservation was around 2. So we realized that the mall would be too far from the restaurant and we didn’t want to be rude by being late. So while my friends ran to Running Ran, me and my friends went to Paris Baguette and wasted about an hour there until the girls called and said that the line for the Running Man Center was way too long so they just came home so we wouldn’t be late for lunch.
The ride to the restaurant from our place was almost 45 minutes but boy was it worth it. When I say this restaurant was probably the fanciest place I have ever gone to it is no exaggeration. It was one of those fancy family restaurants that would to probably once in like two years for a very special occasion – the VIP section even had its own fountain in the middle room. . We all couldn’t sit together since there is 4 people limit because of Covid, so it was the four of us and my friend and her grandma. It was a Korean beef BBQ place, and if you didn’t know let me inform you, beef is apparently really expensive in Korea. We ended up spending almost $100 and felt really guilty but after coming out of the restaurant, but it was great having someone spoil us.
