Coming back from the road trip was a whirlwind of deadlines, tests, and the finals approaching. Despite this, I was not going to get that completely in my way for my final month at Drexel. A lot still happened, from basketball games to concerts and visiting new food spots in town, just spending quality time with the life-long friends I’ve made here.
The Big 5 Game showdown between Drexel and Villanova at the Wells Fargo Center was one of the most amazing experiences. Drexel snagged the win, and the whole vibe was nothing short of electric. School spirit was really there, and for a moment, we were part of something big. Everything about the whole game, from the tailgating before to the aftermath of the game was so fun!
I went back to Wells Fargo a week later catching Travis Scott in concert. Forget what you know about regular gigs; this was a sensory overload. The stage production, and the crowd engagement – Travis Scott nailed it. And just when you thought it couldn’t get better, he brought out Lil Uzi Vert as a special guest. It was, hands down, the best concert experience I’ve ever had.
I had two finals, and this was a lot different to back home. The structure and the model of the exam overall did share similarities but most of it was very different. Exams in Hong Kong are definitely stricter and the layout in another format as well as the question style and wordings. I was able to understand the structure and the question a lot better at Drexel though.
One of my friends from New York finally came to visit me in Philly after I finished my exams. By this time, I knew quite a lot about Philly and could easily show her around. We went back to visit icons like the Philly Art Museum, this time during the sunset which hit a lot differently, Old City and Center City for the Christmas Markets.
This was definitely another packed and intense month just with more stress of the finals and projects that came near the end. But was my favorite month so far, I got even closer to my friends, explored and experienced a lot more as well.
