Paris is Always a Good Idea.

Tran Victoria; France - Paris is Always a Good Idea

In the short time that I’ve been in the lustful city of Paris, “Eiffel” in love. Morning walks to ESCE are accompanied by a fresh pain au chocolat. The Tour de Eiffel looms in the background as I approach the school’s courtyard. I can’t imagine a more inspiring view.

My name is Victoria and I am a junior in the LeBow College of Business. My decision to explore Paris stems from a desire to explore Europe. This being my first time to Paris and Europe in general, I’m beyond excited to explore all of the wonders these European cities have to offer–starting with Paris.

My roommates and I live in the 15th arrondissement, which is a 20 minute walk from school. Although morning classes are tough, the aroma of freshly baked baguettes wafting the narrow streets is a pleasant incentive to continue. I’m currently taking Financial Derivatives, Operations Management, Organizational Behavior, an International Business Seminar, and a French class. Besides my class schedule being a bit hectic with each week being different from the last, I’m slowly getting the hang of the education system here. Classes may seem like a chore considering all of the wonderful distractions located in the city, but I’m eager to take on these courses from an international perspective.

Wonderful distractions. Paris is full of them. During our first few weeks  in the city, we conquered the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Le Louvre, Le Musee D’Orsay, and much more. However, one of my favorite past times was spending an afternoon in the Luxembourg Gardens. I’m looking forward to my extended stay here, taking in the rich culture that Paris has to offer.

More to come.
