Greetings, Dragons! As the spring term unfolds at Drexel University, I’m thrilled to share my second-week experiences with you. This week has been nothing short of exhilarating, marked by new discoveries, fascinating encounters, and unforgettable moments.
Let’s start with the weather – a significant improvement from last week, wouldn’t you agree? The sun’s warmth beckoned me out of my room, prompting my exploration of the Drexel athletic amenities at the Recreation Center. With friends in tow, I ventured into group activities, such as Core and Cardio Strength sessions. Trust me when I say, it’s an experience I highly recommend! Did you know that reserving a spot in these activities is as easy as a few clicks on the web? And for those who prefer individual workouts, the Recreation Center boasts an array of machines and materials to craft your own fitness plan.
But that’s not all – my curiosity led me to the bustling stands of Drexel’s student organizations. From mathematics enthusiasts to aspiring leaders, there were over 50 diverse organizations to explore. Each booth offered a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of student life at Drexel, igniting my interest in getting involved beyond the classroom.
Now, let’s talk celestial marvels. Did you catch the awe-inspiring solar eclipse this past Monday? It was a sight to behold, and I hope you all had the opportunity to snag a pair of solar glasses for safe viewing. Me and my friends met at Cira green and witnessed the celestial spectacle, which was a humbling reminder of the vast wonders that surround us.
Also, this week my friends and I came together to cheer on the Drexel soccer team in their last match of the season. But before taking our seats in the stands, we made a quick detour to the Drexel store to stock up on Dragon-themed hoodies. With more than 30 designs to choose from, finding the ideal hoodie became a delightful challenge in its own right!
Judging by our expressions, it’s evident that the Drexel team won, thanks in part to the incredible cheerleaders ;). In celebration of their win, we all went out together. The evening was filled with laughter, dancing, and countless unforgettable moments.
As I reflect on this whirlwind week of firsts, I’m filled with gratitude for the warm welcome and vibrant community here at Drexel University. I can’t wait to see what the coming weeks have in store – stay tuned for more tales!
