A list of must Do’s while studying in London during the summer!!

  1. Afternoon tea is a must. I recommend trying Roast in borough market, but anywhere you go for afternoon tea will be an amazing experience. The culture behind afternoon tea and getting to try the meal for the first time is something I definitely recommend.
  2. Greenwich cable car. I really recommend the cable car in London, it goes from Greenwich to the other side of the river and back! Sunset is the best time to go and you get a view of the London skyline. Tickets are also very reasonable priced. This is a great activity to do with friends!

3. Tower Bridge at night. Taking a walk on and along tower bridge at night is a breathtaking experience. Tower Bridge is a common tourist destination during the day but going at night isn’t as talked about and I recommend walking along the path along the river with the view of the bridge.

4. Jin Bo Law. After a walk along Tower Bridge at night, Jin Bo Law is a great rooftop restaurant to stop at. From the rooftop you have an amazing view of the gherkin and it makes you feel like you are in the London skyline.

5. Daunt Books. I love exploring stationery shops and bookstores in any new city I visit. Daunt books was very highly recommended to me and I am so happy I visited. The gorgeous bookstore feels antique yet modern and the main room makes me feel like you could spend hours shopping for books and reading. It is also located in Marylebone, which is a great area to get coffee, shop, eat, and explore!

6. Wimbeldon tour. As a tennis lover and appreciator, going to see the Wimbledon courts and museum were a must do. The tour was 90 minutes and tickets also gave visitors access to the museum. The tour exceeded my expectations of everything I got to see, and after seeing the court for so long on TV, it was unreal to see it in person.

7. Theater show. I was lucky enough to go see Hamilton while in London and I really recommend seeing one show while in London. Theater is a part of the culture in London and it is comparable to Broadway in New York!

8. Portabello Market. The market has something for everyone from jewelry to food. You could spend just a half hour or a whole day in the market and it’s the best thing to do alone or with friends!

These are just some of my top recommendations and must do’s while in London!!
