This past week has been nothing short of amazing! My brother came to visit, and we decided to make the most of it with back-to-back adventures. To kick things off, we went to a Philadelphia 76ers vs. Milwaukee Bucks NBA game. The energy in the Wells Fargo Center was electric – the fans were in high spirits, and with some nail-biting plays, it was hard not to get swept up in the excitement. Both teams put on a great show, but there’s something about cheering on the 76ers in person that’s simply unbeatable.
We spent the next day exploring more of Philadelphia. I always find something new to love in this city, and sharing it with my brother made it even more special. We hit up some iconic spots, like the famous Rocky statue. Seeing it in person is always surreal, especially with all the tourists striking the classic “arms-up” Rocky pose.
With Halloween right around the corner, we also went costume shopping, which was a blast. After visiting a few stores, we finally settled on our outfits – can’t spoil the surprise just yet, but let’s just say I’m going classic horror this year!
Saturday rolled around, and we decided to visit Drexel’s flea market. There’s always something intriguing at those stalls, from vintage records to quirky home decor. We didn’t leave empty-handed – my brother picked up a few things and I snagged a cool, retro poster that’s definitely going up on my wall.
That evening, I put one of my costumes to the test at a Halloween party. It was great seeing everyone’s creativity, and the energy was infectious. Halloween parties always have a charm, especially when everyone’s really gotten into the spirit.
To wrap up our week, we took a short trip to Washington, D.C. Besides seeing some of the iconic landmarks, our main event was attending the Washington Commanders vs. Chicago Bears NFL game at Northwest Stadium. The atmosphere was intense – fans from both sides brought their A-game, and even though neither of us is a die-hard fan of either team, being there live made it unforgettable.
All in all, it was a jam-packed week full of sports, sightseeing, and festive fun. Having my brother here was the perfect excuse to explore a bit more and make the most of each day!
