This week at Drexel was a mix of sweet treats, cozy vibes, and a little Philly magic, even if the weather wasn’t exactly on my side.
Let’s start with Crumbl Cookies. If you haven’t heard of them, they’re basically TikTok famous, and everyone raves about how amazing they are. So naturally, I had to try them. I got a box with a few flavors—chocolate chip, chocolate cupcake, and this pink sugar cookie everyone talks about. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, but… kind of overrated? The cookies are HUGE, and I felt like I needed a gallon of water to survive them. Definitely worth trying, but I think I’ll stick with my smaller, more classic bakery cookies next time.
The weather this week was a total switch-up from the sunny days I’d been enjoying. It’s officially cold and rainy now, which means layering up and carrying an umbrella everywhere. Still, I’ve been spending a lot of time in Rittenhouse Square. It’s one of my favorite places in Philly—the park has this cozy, charming vibe, even when the leaves are all wet and the paths are muddy. Plus, my favorite coffee shop, La Colombe, is right there. Their lattes are chef’s kiss. On gloomy days, there’s nothing better than grabbing a coffee and sitting by the window to people-watch.
I also went to Drexel’s last home hockey game before the break this week! It was such a fun experience—so much energy! We won, and everyone was cheering like crazy. I love how much spirit Drexel has for all sports. I’m totally becoming a fan.
This week, I went to Macy’s for the first time. That place is MASSIVE. I felt like I was walking through a maze of clothes, shoes, and beauty counters forever. It’s wild how much stuff they have under one roof.
Even with the rain, this week reminded me of all the things I love about being here—good coffee, exciting games, and discovering something new every day. Philly keeps surprising me, and I’m here for it.
See you soon,
Anna
