The End of Classes

I had another exam on Thursday for my Forest Ecosystem class. I believe that I prepared very well for it and feel very good about how it went. The review session for that class was very helpful and if you paid attention, you knew exactly what to study for the exam. That was also my last class here at USyd!!!!! I can’t believe it! Now we have a week to study and then two weeks to take finals. Lucky for the US crew, our finals are later in the two weeks so we will be leaving tomorrow for Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef! I’m just finishing packing now! The first day when we arrive we get to explore the area and just relax by the beach. After this week of running around and taking two exams, that will be much welcomed. The second day we are going to the rainforest and hiking. The Daintree Rainforest is one of the oldest and I’m really looking forward to exploring it! The next day we are going out on the reef! I have my underwater camera all ready to get some really good shots! Then we have to fly home the next day.

My mom also flew home today. We had a great week and I think she really enjoyed her time her! We did everything we could in just one short week and we were constantly on the go. She stayed near Kings Cross station so she was really close to everything. We went to Wildlife and Sealife on Darling Harbour and explored the University and Newtown. She tried her first meat pie here too. On Friday we went to the Blue Mountains and she saw the Three Sisters, and we walked around in the forest below. We also stopped at Featherdale Zoo and got to feed kangaroos and wallabies and pet a koala! Today we ran over to Glebe Market before she had to catch her flight home. It’s hard to believe that I’ll be doing that soon too. The next few weeks will fly by and this wonderful experience will come to an end. I absolutely love Sydney and I wish I could stay for the year. Then again, by then I would want to stay another year, and another! I’m especially going to miss this beautiful warm weather during winter term! I’m loving the Aussie lifestyle and wish it could last!
